A lot of people ask me that famous question, at least among the people in the hobby: how do you feel with those creepy dolls in your bedroom? How can you even sleep?

Well, I have to say... I'm glad I get to answer that sometimes. If I had to describe them with one word, "creepy" wouldn't even reach the list at all. I think that would be... "Imagination". Yeah, I suppose that word does it, because that's what they're made of.

I'm sure most of you, doll owners or collectors (yes, there is a difference. and a big one.), are aware of the recent discussions, as much as the topic isn't recent at all, about bootleg/recast in the doll market and the flame war regarding other subjects that has been going on for awhile in the confessions blogs. I have been reading everything and... I agree with the very few people who are just saying things like "this is all so wrong, we're all together in the hobby, guys". I mean... Isn't everyone already satisfied with all the shit we get from people outside of the hobby? All the insults they throw at BJD owners? I've met several wonderful and loving people in this hobby, one of them is currently my best friend...

I wonder, why isn't there any blog with the intention of sharing only the good stuff about this hobby? =/

Seriously, I just want to keep on living and loving my dolls. I really love them dearly.

At first, that was just a random photo... But after I edited it a bit, it got much stronger than before, so I decided to share it on DeviantArt too~ (:

i'm usually afraid to tell people i have a doll because of the looks i get. or my family telling me she's got a dead stare or that she's just plain creepy. but i don't see it. I put a lot of work into painting her face and making all of her outfits (even wigs) and they don't even see that part. they just think it's creepy that i have a doll.

I'm terribly sorry to hear that. I also don't get any support from my family, but at least they usually act like my dolls don't exist, so it's not that bad... It's very disappointing because there are some people who quit hobbies because of this, since it's easy to feel unmotivated and unhappy about what you like with that kind of reaction from others.
I also think it's amazing that you can manage to do just about everything! I fail at the customization part, so I always have to ask other people to do it for me and buy only brand-made stuff. The parts I REALLY enjoy are the creation and the photographing! (:
But really, you should NEVER quit what you do because of other people. Keep on doing what you want and love, even if no one around you seems to care about it. What really matters is that you have fun while doing it. Looking at a finished creation is the best payment I can get.

I hate having things stare at me to the point I can't even have posters or a cellphone/computer wallpaper with something staring at me...yet for some reason my doll is fine XD

And I mostly agree with you on the recast thing as well!
